Tournament Descriptions
Freeman Health Systems World Series Qualifiers
Freeman Health Systems teams up with Champion Diamonds for the
5th season. Freeman hospital is located in Joplin, MO and is a 4
State leader in cardiac, obstetric and sports medicine. This tournament
is a USSSA World Series qualifier specifically for AAA level teams.
This is a Sat/Sun only Tournament!
Memorial Day Slugout
A new twist on a great tournament. The championship team will
be given a paid entry into the State USSSA State Tournament. And
this is just for "AAA" teams.
Champion "AA" Challenge
Champion Diamonds has a tournament for everyone. We now host
a strictly AA tournament regional qualifier. What a great treat
for AA teams, Champion Diamonds professional umpires and a grass
infield....No one can lose with this experience.
Mizuno Wood Bat World Series Qualifiers
The ultimate challenge, wood bats and grass infields. Team this
up with Champion Diamonds and it's a great experience. This puts
the emphasis on pitching and defense. This puts all teams on an
equal footing. Each team is given a complimentary wood bat and special
prices are also available for additional bats. NEW!!! For 2003 season
this is now a World Series Qualifier!
World Series Warmup
A great way for the teams to prepare for the upcoming USSSA
World Series. If you do well, remember we got you prepared.
Champion Skills Challenge
What a way to end the season. A tournament and a skills competition
for the players to compete in such events as a home run derby, base
running challenge, and team skills drills. Get a USSSA berth started
for next season.
NBC World Series Qualifier
This is an open tournament that is for college summer teams,
MSLB and elite 18under teams. This will give 1 berth out of 64 available
across the country, to the NBC World Series in Wichita, KS. The
first place team will earn $1000 and 2nd place will take home $500.
A great way to earn a berth in 3 days of baseball. 2 game guarantee
minimum. Depending on number of teams, either double elimination
or pool play format will be used. This tournament will use three
major league size fields, and all of course with grass infields.
In Champion Diamonds tradition, 3 officials will be used per game.
